Future Disney Movie Release Date

This site is dedicated to the Disney Parks rather than the broader world of Disney entertainment, yet the movies are so inextricably linked to the parks that keeping an eye on the upcoming releases can often give clues as to way Disney leadership might feel about the strength of a particular franchise. A movie doesn't need to have billion dollar revenues before it gets features in a ride (although it helps) and just because movie has an upcoming sequel or live action remake doesn't necessarily mean we'll see it represented more in the parks (though again, it doesn't hurt).

With that in mind, here are a select list of upcoming Disney releases, including those recently announced at D23 2026. We're primarily looking at animated features or those tied to existing park IP, on the assumption that Ridley Scott's The Dog Stars isn't likely to find a home in the Magic Kingdom.
